Our mission

Coopernicus is an initiative of Our Future Foundation. Its main goal is to spread awareness of the achievements of Poles in Europe and around the world. We create a community of Polish scientists and professionals, support recruitment and new collaborations within the community and with Polish institutions and enterprises.

Our Team
Kamil Tomkowicz
Managing Director

Kamil Tomkowicz is a member of the Management Board at Our Future Foundation, where he is responsible for coordinating strategic projects, including its flagship nationwide conference “Our Future Forum”, and establishing partnerships with renowned media and business. He also serves as a Managing Director of “Coopernicus” – an internet platform, which connects the Polish academic diaspora in Europe and worldwide.

During his educational path, Kamil received an educational scholarship from the Jagiellonian Foundation, which was funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was also recognized as a laureate of the Global Peer Mentorship Programme for young changemakers conducted by Moonshot Pirates in Vienna, Austria.

From a young age, Kamil has been a successful chess player, achieving 3rd place at the international Mieczysław Najdorf Chess Memorial in Warsaw and 10th place at the Cracovia International Chess Festival. Currently, Kamil is a student of economics with a focus on foreign markets at Kozminski University in Warsaw, Poland.

Social activist, third-year Law and International Relations student at the University of Warsaw. Journalist and Content Coordinator at Coopernicus. Host of ”Maximum Dose of Knowledge” podcast.

Magdalena Marynowska
Editor-in-chief

A student of law and international relations at the University of Warsaw, a multiple laureate of literary competitions, including poetry contests. She gained editorial experience as a leader of the social project “Nie Dotykaj Mnie,” where her main task was creating educational content for the project’s social media. She also had the opportunity to co-write the script for an educational film within the project. After the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, she worked as an Operations Specialist at the non-profit organization Student Initiative for Education, where her responsibilities included developing partnerships with cultural and entertainment centers throughout Poland and co-organizing events for Ukrainian children and youth. Privately, she is a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.

Jakub Bryjak
Scientific Partnerships and Publishing Advisor

Jakub organized his first educational conference at the age of fifteen – since then he had the opportunity to organize a wide range of conferences both in Poland and United Kingdom, touching the subjects of space conquest, medicine, geopolitics as well as resistance. He was a co-author of an advisory document for the European Commission published by the 89 Initiative – a Think Tank operating under the LSE. Jakub explored the secrets of global banking while working at Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego in Poland. He graduated War Studies at King’s College London. Privately he is a talented computer graphic designer, fascinated with maps in all shapes and forms, and an avid observer of architecture and major infrastructure projects.

Michał Dziedziniewicz
IT Development Director

Graduate of University of Cambridge (MA in Mathematics, Trinity College) and Rhode Island School of Design (MArch in Architecture). Product / Service / UX Designer operating at the intersection of fields of education and technology since 2012. Co-author and – till 2020 -Creative Director and RnD supervisor for award-winning educational game series Scottie Go!. In a professional setting he applies storytelling and user-centered design to his projects. In off time a musician.

Radosław Miadiełko
Partnerhips Manager

Student of International Relations at the University of Warsaw. He gained experience in social projects, governmental institutions, and NGOs. He is the founder and president of the Student Association for Human Rights and Humanitarian Crises at the University of Warsaw and an active activist at the UW. Radek also coordinates other projects in the field of politics, international relations, and human rights, which have in common the activation of given social groups for discussion and reflection.

Weronika Szewczuk
Marketing Manager

A finance and accounting as well as management in a virtual environment graduate at Kozminski University. She gained experience in marketing as a Social Media Manager in the ALK Student’s Council, of which she was the President. Weronika has a good understanding of the organization of mass events. She is currently involved in most of Our Future Foundation’s projects, including preparation of Akcja Inspiracja events. At Coopernicus, she is responsible for marketing and communication with users of the Platform.

Zuzanna Pawłowska
Marketing Specialist

Student of Economics at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin with great passion and enthusiasm for social activities. She took her first steps in this field already in high school as the President of the Student Council – exceptionally for two terms. Since the 2023/24 academic year, she has also been the President of the Student Research Group of Management and Marketing of UMCS, of which she was previously an active member. Actively involved in the activities of the Fundacja Media Przyszłości, where she proofreads articles from Gazeta Kongresy daily. She gained professional experience in economics at the Ministry of Finance. In Coopernicus, she is responsible for content and promotion in Social Media.

Marta Gajda
External Relations Intern

A law student at the University of Silesia in Katowice, where she completed academic tutoring in criminal law and criminology. Actively involved in charitable activities, at the age of 16 she founded the Youth Council of Pawlowice Municipality. She implemented the social project “Show it!” aimed at popularizing Polish Sign Language. Marta is also a recipient of a scholarship from the President Clinton Foundation under the Clinton Global Initiatives University program.  She had the opportunity to gather her professional experience in the European Parliament in Brussels, the Ministry of Digital Affairs Republic of Poland and the House of Representatives in the United States Congress.

Jakub Bartoszewski
Academic Advisor

Jakub Bartoszewski graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from New York University. He studied in New York, Washington DC, Abu Dhabi, Florence and Accra. Moreover, Jakub holds a Master of International Affairs degree from Texas A&M University, where he specialized in international economics. Jakub is also a graduate of Cranleigh School in the United Kingdom, which he completed as a scholar of the British Alumni Society Poland program. His hobbies are piano, foreign languages, philosophy and cooking.

Zuzanna Buszman
Academic Advisor

Studied law at the University of Warsaw and UC Berkeley, as well as international human rights relations at Columbia University in New York. She is currently a PhD candidate in international environmental law at the University of Warsaw and works as a specialist in environmental crime at the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex).

Michael Martin Richter
Academic Advisor

Michael holds a degree in European studies from the College of Europe, in politics and economics from University College London (UCL), and in international management from the ESB Business School in Reutlingen and the Jagiellonian University. He is currently a researcher and PhD student at the University of Bremen within the Innovative Training Network (ITN) project “MARKETS” of the Horizon 2020 programme of the European Union. He was also a visiting scholar at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Brussels.
