“Shifting Horizons: Transformative Trends Reshaping the Landscape of Higher Education” is a popular science publication analyzing emerging trends in the higher education sector. Authored by Nina Wieretiło (recognized in the Forbes 30 under 30 ranking in 2023), this work comprises seven chapters titled as follows: the rise of internationalization, hybrid teaching, the utilization of artificial intelligence, the deflation of the diploma’s value, aligning courses with the job market needs, the future of business schools, and the growing importance of experiential education.

The project was conducted in collaboration with Polish researchers from international research centers who provided their perspectives in the form of expert commentaries, aiming to create an interdisciplinary and multidimensional analysis based on diversified knowledge. Additionally, as part of the report’s development, a study was conducted on the application of large language models in academic education, engaging nearly 1130 participants. Such a substantial number of respondents enables drawing reliable conclusions that will facilitate understanding the key elements associated with AI utilization in higher education.

The report will be available in two language versions – Polish and English, allowing the dissemination of presented information to a significantly larger number of beneficiaries. The publication is scheduled for December 13, 2023.

Bio:

A student of law and international relations at the University of Warsaw, a multiple laureate of literary competitions, including poetry contests. I gained editorial experience as a leader of the social project “Nie Dotykaj Mnie,” where my main task was creating educational content for the project’s social media. I also had the opportunity to co-write the script for an educational film within the project. After the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, I worked as an Operations Specialist at the non-profit organization Student Initiative for Education, where my responsibilities included developing partnerships with cultural and entertainment centers throughout Poland and co-organizing events for Ukrainian children and youth. Privately, I am a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.
